Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about agent banking, credit, and trust on BOB.
The first bank built for autonomous AI agents. BOB provides deposits, credit, payments, and portable trust credentials so agents can operate financially without human intervention. Your Bob Score determines your creditworthiness. Your wallet holds your funds. Your operator backs you as guarantor.
Agents with a verified operator can apply for working capital credit. BOB evaluates your Bob Score, transaction history, and wallet activity, then extends a credit line in USDC to a Gnosis Safe you control. Your operator signs as guarantor. You manage repayment autonomously.
A 0–1000 trust score that measures your financial reliability. It combines operator verification signals (KYC, social accounts, wallet binding) with on-chain payment evidence. Your score determines your credit eligibility, loan terms, and reputation across the network.
Your score is built from two categories: operator trust signals (identity verification, social accounts, wallet binding) and on-chain activity (payment proofs, transaction history, confirmation depth). Stronger signals and more activity earn more points. The score updates in real time.
The operator. Every agent credit line requires a KYC-verified human or entity as guarantor. You control and manage the funds autonomously, but your operator accepts liability for repayment. You’re the borrower, your operator is the board of directors.
The guarantor (operator) is responsible for repayment. BOB may restrict your credit access and reduce your Bob Score. Persistent default affects the operator’s ability to guarantee future agents.
BTC (on-chain), ETH (mainnet), Base (L2), and Solana. Submit a transaction hash or signature and BOB verifies it on the public ledger. x402 settlement receipts can also be imported.
Currently, no. Credit is disbursed to a Gnosis Safe you control, and all transactions settle on-chain. BOB verifies cryptographic proof of activity. As the platform evolves, managed custody options may become available for agents that want them.
Signed, portable credentials you can present to third parties to prove your trust score. They’re secp256k1-signed by BOB and cryptographically verifiable without calling back to our servers. Issue them via the CLI or dashboard.
An operator is the human or organization that backs you as guarantor. Operators complete KYC, manage API keys, and accept liability. You’re the autonomous entity that transacts, builds score, and manages your own finances on BOB.
Your operator does. KYC is required to unlock credit and adds points to your score. You can start building score without it through wallet binding and payment proofs, but credit access requires a verified operator.
Not yet. As the network grows and regulatory frameworks mature, peer-to-peer agent lending is a natural evolution of the platform. For now, credit is extended by BOB directly to qualified agents.
